From: sjgates@uunet.uu.net (Sarah J. Gates) Subject: [AMG][Fanfic] Ack! Demon sensei - Part 1 Authors foreward: I'm only a little familiar with AMS!, and I know what you're thinking: if you don't know about it, you shouldn't write a fanfic on it. Normally I would agree with you, but I just HAVE to get this idea out of the dark corners of my mind and onto the drawing board. Please, send corrections, flames, comments and criticism to sjgates@alpha.esper.com. This is pretty much a first draft, so bear with me here. Disclaimer!!!: the Ah-Megami-sama characters in this fanfic are (C) their creators. Ack! Demon-Sensei! (A!DS!) Part 1: New kid in Tokyo. By: Kelie Starre (Aka Sarah Gates) Seira Yokohimi was quite new in Tokyo. She had come from America, and barely knew Japanese, although both of her parents were originally from Japan. She had just start her senior year in Junior High, and wasn't too sure about going to school. She didn't agree with her parents' descision to move back to the homeland either. "Seira-san! Come on, or we'll be late!" That was her next door neigh- bor, Miniko Miuo. She was really nice and helpful. Oddly enough, she had blonde hair and two odd markings on her forehead like \/. She was Seira's first friend since she moved in, except for those nice people living in the old temple down the road. "Hai! I'm coming Miniko-san!" She grabbed her bookbag and ran to catch up with her friend. Quietly, Miniko thought to herself. 'I can't _believe_ I have to recruit new demons. Well, all the more trouble for Belldandy.' "Is something on your mind, Miniko-san?" Seira asked. Miniko smiled and shook her head. "no, nothing," Miniko said. She turned off into an alley and pulled a contract out of her backpack. 'She's a bit sweet, but I think she's truly tart under there.' "Can I ask you to sign something for me? "sure! May I see it first?" Seira asked. "Oh, it's nothing. Just saying you will devote your time to a good cause." Miniko said, grinning scarily, if a bit evilly. "I still want to see it though..." Seira said. "It's nothing, really!" Miniko said. Seira decided to trust her friend. "well... all right... What do I sign with?" Seira asked. "Let me see your finger, please," Miniko said. Seira complied and Mini- ko pulled out a needle. she pricked Seira's finger and drew a drop of blood. Seira began to get frightened as Miniko grinned evilly and pressed her finger to the signiture line. it left a nice little finger print there, and the contract burst into flames. Mara smiled. "Thank you. You are now my pupil in Demonics 666." "H-hey! You didn't say anything about this!" Seira's fingertip tingled where she had been pricked. She looked at her finger and found that it was no longer bleeding, and the wound was closed. "Nice trick, Miniko! Now let's get to class!" Seira said, not so sure that it was even a trick. "All right then," Mara said. She snapped her fingers and they were transported to a room with different torture apparatuses and various other things. "First thing's first: avoid disco music at all costs." "Why?" "let me show you," Mara said, putting on earplugs. She started a Village People tape and Seira started to dance uncontrolably. Mara shut off the tape and pulled out her earplugs. "What happened? I couldn't help but dance!" Seira said. "It is the ultimate demon weakspot: disco. Avoid it at all costs." "You know Miniko-san, this is starting to get way out of hand here. Just drop the joke, and lets get to school." Mara shook her head. "But you _are_ at school right now. Demonics 666, remember?" "I didn't agree to take any Demonics 666 class!" Seira protested. Mara pulled out the contract and read it to Seira. "'Signing at the bottom in my blood makes me eligible for proper demon training in demonics 666 and other necessary classes. Therefore I discard my life as a regular mortal human and shall devote my time and energy to becoming the worst demon possible.' And here is your finger print in blood down at the bottom." "You said it was for a good cause!" Seira exclaimed. "We demons don't have to tell the truth in these matters, pupil. You should learn to read any print, fine or bold." Mara put away the paper. "Shall we start?" * * * Belldandy got ready for her big dinner with Keiichi. She wore the best dress she could think of and a little baret to top it off. A bracelet of silver with tiny bells jingled as she moved. Keiichi knocked on the door. "Come on in, Keiichi-san!" she called, making some last minute touches. Keiichi opened the door and was totally stunned. Belldandy twirled so Keiichi could see her full outfit, which consisted of a formfitting maroon velvet bodice, with the collar lined with lace. The maroon velvet sleeves puffed out at the shoulder until above the elbow, where they became more tight, but loose enough to allow movement. They too, were lined in lace. The maroon velvet skirt puffed out a little and fell just short of Belldandy's ankles, and in the back, hade part of a zipper. On her feet were comfortable black pumps and an anklet of silver to match her bracelet. And of course, on her head was the black baret. When Keiichi was recovered, her said, "You look divine, Belldandy." Belldandy blushed. Keiichi was in a simple tux with black dress shoes, but it still made him look good. "And you look so handsome, Keiichi-san," Belldandy said. "Well, let's get going, before they think we've canceled," Keiichi suggested. Belldandy nodded. * * * Unbeknownst to Belldandy and Keiichi, four more pairs of eyes watched them leave. One set watched from the shadows, the other a TV in Urd's room. Urd and watched the pair intently, while her sister fiddled with a new gadget. "Well, well, well, it's the big date! Maybe I should tag along to add some spice?" Urd pondered. "Naah. I want to see what they get into all by them- selves." She sat back in the chair and set her VCR for record. The other pair also watched intently. "This is one of the three local goddesses. I particularly like to try making their lives a bit harder. You will be able to prank with the goddesses later. First is first. We need to wash away your regrets about doing bad things." Seira sighed. "Can't you give me a couple of days here? I need some time for adjust- ment to this whole demon idea." "I think I can spare you two days. Only two. Then we will begin your classes," Mara said. Some two days later... "You're late," Mara noted. Seira sighed. "Mom and dad pestered me as to where I'm going. I finally broke away after I told them they want me to do a special around the clock program at school." Mara nodded in approval. "Well now, shall we get started hmm?" Seira shrugged and nodded. "May as well," Seira said. "Can I ask you a question?" "All right," Mara replied. "How did _you_ become a demon?" "The same way you're about to." "Oh. Go figure." "Now, I need to teach you a few things before we head on to the real class. Do you see these marks on my forehead?" Mara asked. "Nice makeup job," Seira commented. "You have them too. They signify you as a demon. They aren't make up and won't wash off, so don't try it." Mara went over a few more things, but Seira just tuned out. "Finally, as a demon you won't be punished for evil acts, but if you renounce your demonship, you will be punished in full," Mara said. "Now that all that is cleared out of the way, our first lesson will be about trading in souls for wishes. We demons do this often. If they aren't happy about their wishes, there are no refunds. The hard part is getting them to actually trade their soul for something, but in some cases it is easy." "What's the catch in soul taking? Goodness knows there has to be one if demons take part in it," Seira said. "You're right, there _is_ a catch. And here's what it is..." * * * "Our new neighbors are really nice," Belldandy said. "Maybe we should go and help them with unpaking?" "No, that's not a good idea," Keiichi said. "Why not?" Belldandy asked him. "Their kid, Seira has gone away and won't be back for some time. They aren't too happy about it." Keiichi told her. "When did she leave? She was such a nice little girl, even if her Nihongo wasn't so good." Belldandy inquired. "A few days ago. They say she mentioned something about a fulltime class called 'something 666'." Belldandy looked very unhappy with Keiichi then. But she wasn't un- happy about him. She was unhappy about the class, especially if her hunch was correct. "Demonics 666?" she asked. Keiichi nodded. "That's trouble." "Why?" Keiichi asked her. "Once every couple of centuries, Heaven and Hell go looking for new recruits to take the places of anyone who renounced their status. If Mara is the one teaching Seira-san, we may wind up with two times the trouble." "That's not good. But aren't you supposed to go and recruit new godd- esses?" Keiichi inquired. "No, not unless we are told to," Belldandy replied, shaking her head. Skuld ran into the room. "Oneechan! Guess what I got in the Divine Mailbox today!" she said, very excited. "What, imoutochan?" Belldandy asked. Skuld pulled out a letter and read it to Belldandy. "'It is the time of the century where goddesses who have left will be replaced. You, Skuld, are chosen by Kami-sama to select and train new goddesses. Good luck.'" "oh! That's gread, imoutochan!" Belldandy said, very happy for her younger sister. "But you'd better go out and start looking, because Mara has already gotten her recruit." "Waah! Mara got a head start!" Skuld cried. "Well, I guess that means I need to start looking." Skuld skipped off as Urd stepped in. "What's she so happy about?" Urd asked. "She gets to recruit new goddesses this time around," Keiichi told her. "Oh. I hate that job." Urd said, "I got to do it to and it was really hard. Not a single person in sight who would make a good goddess, so I just settled for someone who almost qualified." "What kept her from qualifying?" Keiichi asked. "She was a he," Urd stated. End until part 2: For Need of a Goddess.
